Our History
In 1947 Vernon Towner began servicing the electronics
needs of his customers. With the advancement of technology, the family business
evolved and maintained pace with the industry. Over the years the business moved
onto wired communications including Nurse Call and Sound systems, expanding from
there into the Telecommunications arena in the early 1970's.
In the next
decades, TCS purchased two of our competitors, adding a larger customer base.
Not only did our customer base grow, but our product line as well, with the
acquisition of a MUZAK franchise providing environmental background music. After
decades of servicing and installing Nurse Call, we sold that portion of the
business to enable us to focus more fully on Telephone, Muzak & Sound
systems.
The corporation today remains a family based operation, with
Vernon's son, Mark, as President. TCS has a well trained staff of twenty-five
employees with over 300 years of combined years of service. We use that
expertise to assist the more than 2,500 customers in the Mid-Missouri
area.
TCS strives to support the community in which we live by being
involved in the United Way and other local events and by donating to our local
churches and schools.
